Make savings at your local laundrette Date: 24/04/2012
It can be a chore keeping on top of the laundry. There’s always a pile of clothes which need to be put into the washing machine and then hung out to dry.
Most domestic washing machines have drum sizes which can cope with around 6Kg of washing. Some even have larger drums which can cope with 8Kg or even 9Kg of washing. However, it’s often the case that the average householder will want to wash more than this amount each time they put the washing machine on. All this amounts to more loads, more drying, more money spent on electricity to power the machine and most importantly more time spent doing the washing. It doesn’t have to be like this though.
You can spend your time on more important things than doing the washing if you visit your local laundrette. New laundrettes are equipped with the very latest commercial laundry equipment and can handle much larger loads than domestic washing machines. This means that instead of the multiple loads you’d have to do at home, a single load might be sufficient at a laundrette.
With the savings you make on electricity, the savings made on detergent and the savings made on the initial cost and potential repairs of a domestic machine, it really doesn’t seem to make sense any more to have a machine of your own. Your local laundrette has everything you need.
The amazing Electrolux Lagoon Date: 17/04/2012
Care of delicate items has always been a problem when washing. However with Electrolux’s new Lagoon washing system you no longer need to worry what delicate garments will look like when they come out of the wash.
The only fabric care wet cleaning system which has been approved by Woolmark is a breakthrough in professional care of products which used to be dry clean only.
The Lagoon system is an all-in-one integrated system which includes the washing, drying and ironing of products and can be used on all types of fabrics – even those which were only the sole domain of dry-cleaning just a few years ago.
For reasons of practicality, consumers are drawn to items which can be washed easily and quickly, and with hygiene and appearance of washed products always in the mind of the consumer, the Lagoon system seems to be a breakthrough in cleaning technology. Wool items can now be cleaned using wet cleaning methods in professional laundries, without the worry of the item being misshapen or smaller than it once was.
If you are concerned about dry cleaning not getting your clothes hygienically clean, why not visit a laundrette which has the new Lagoon range of machines to see the results of wet cleaning for yourself?
Baby laundry woes? Date: 10/04/2012
If you have just welcomed a new addition to the family, keeping on top of the washing and the drying can feel like a never ending task. Every parent of a new-born child knows that the first few months are the hardest. Adapting to a new life and a new role can be hard enough, but with the inherent sleep deprivation and the constant feeding and changing, you’ll often wonder if things will ever get any better.
Things do get better of course, you soon settle into a routine and find your feet, but until then you often need a little help from family and friends to get you through the first few weeks.
One thing which will come as a shock when you have a new born baby in the house is the amount of washing you’ll get through. When you were just a couple you might have had a few of loads of washing a week, but with baby clothes, nappies, dribble bibs, muslins and bedding and blankets your washing machine may well wonder what has hit it. There is something you can do though – pay a visit to your local laundrette.
The washers and the driers at laundrettes are much larger than domestic washing machines and the newer types of commercial laundry equipment often have cycles which are much quicker too. And during the first few weeks of your baby’s life it will do you both good to get out of the house and get some fresh air. So what better way to do this than doing your mountain of laundry and seeing some new friendly faces?
Iron Maidens invest in commercial laundry equipment Date: 03/04/2012
An ironing company from Stoke-on-Trent is moving into the commercial laundry sector after receiving financial backing. Iron Maidens is enjoying a rapid business expansion thanks to a business loan from Michelin Development.
The midlands company started out 14 years ago and has enjoyed success as a domestic ironing service. However after securing an industrial unit and buying a range of commercial laundry equipment, the company has secured a clutch of new cleaning contracts.
The company have just won a contract to clean a Stoke-on-Trent firm’s workwear, which wouldn’t have been possible if they had not brought in the new commercial laundry equipment.
The managing director of Iron Maiden Ltd, Sharon Bridget, said:
"The Michelin Development loan has been fantastic in acting as a springboard to enable us to expand the business. What would have taken a few years to achieve with the expansion plans we had, has been realised in the space of months thanks to the funding from Michelin Development.”
Many companies who use tired and old commercial laundry equipment could benefit from having new equipment installed at their premises. New equipment can cut the time it takes to wash clothes and can reduce energy expenditure, which can save the company a huge amount of money in the long run.
