Iron Maidens invest in commercial laundry equipment

An ironing company from Stoke-on-Trent is moving into the commercial laundry sector after receiving financial backing. Iron Maidens is enjoying a rapid business expansion thanks to a business loan from Michelin Development.

The midlands company started out 14 years ago and has enjoyed success as a domestic ironing service. However after securing an industrial unit and buying a range of commercial laundry equipment, the company has secured a clutch of new cleaning contracts.

The company have just won a contract to clean a Stoke-on-Trent firm’s workwear, which wouldn’t have been possible if they had not brought in the new commercial laundry equipment.

The managing director of Iron Maiden Ltd, Sharon Bridget, said:

"The Michelin Development loan has been fantastic in acting as a springboard to enable us to expand the business. What would have taken a few years to achieve with the expansion plans we had, has been realised in the space of months thanks to the funding from Michelin Development.”

Many companies who use tired and old commercial laundry equipment could benefit from having new equipment installed at their premises. New equipment can cut the time it takes to wash clothes and can reduce energy expenditure, which can save the company a huge amount of money in the long run.
