The cylinder is made of heavy-duty machined steel mirror polished (Ra=0,5 mm), and finished in chrome. It is supported by oversized heavy-duty permanently lubricated bearings. The exclusive roller and strap pressure creates a quality finishing process made possible by our kinematic strap tensioning system (Pat 0528745) that ensures increased pressure and and gentle operation.

The Autospeed® System (pat.0528745), automatically adjusts the ironing speed to suit the type of material and humidity. The diagram compares the ironing temperature with or without Autospeed®. Without Autospeed® the temperature continuously fluctuates and can cause uneven drying. With the Autospeed® system, the temperature is constant, ensuring even drying for all types of material. When manual ironing is desired, the simple touch of a button turns Autospeed® off.

ECONOMICAL OPERATION
Girbau flatwork ironers feature low energy consumption through the application of a drive system, which operates through a motorreducer, a speed inverter, an encoder and a versatile microprocessor which accurately controls the ironing speed. Maximum energy and drying efficiencies are achieved since linen-cylinder contact is up to 250° in total surface contact. Less heat is exhausted into the laundry room due to maximum thermal isolation. A filter located at the fan air-intake area, prevents lint exhaust (except model PS-2212) into open areas. Girbau flatwork ironers have been constructed to fulfill all environmental requirements, following an environmentally friendly manufacturing process and using easily recyclable materials, according to standard EN ISO 14001 philosophy.
